Biography

PhD. Dragos Ene, engineer – remote sensing scientist. Graduated Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Technology Information, at the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania. In 2011 he obtained his doctoral title in Physics. He is a senior researcher, with more than 15 years of experience in active and passive remote sensing. Experienced with ground-based, airborne, and spaceborne instruments for atmospheric sampling, in the planning and execution of large-scale campaigns (cal/val of space missions in the context of ESA Earth Observation activities, air pollution emissions estimations of large-scale basins polluters etc.), based on which he publishes several studies. Additionally, he published climatological studies at a continental scale. PI or participated in FP7, H2020, ESA or UN research projects. Since the summer of 2022, he is the ground-based remote–sensing service scientist, of the station Cyprus Atmospheric Remote Sensing Observatory of the Eratosthenes Center of Excellence.
